Terms of Service

Last updated October 28, 2026

By adding Lunaris to a server, using the dashboard, or completing verification through it, you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable: the short version is: use it fairly, don’t abuse it, and understand it’s provided free of charge, with no payment taken at any point.

01The service

Lunaris is a Discord bot and companion web dashboard offering moderation, anti-nuke protection, server backups, member verification, music, leveling, tickets, voice support and related features. We may add, change or remove features over time.

Lunaris is operated by a private individual, described in full in the imprint. It is not a company, and no legal entity stands behind it.

02The Dev version

Lunaris also runs as a private Dev bot, used to test features before they reach everyone. It is a separate Discord application from the main bot and is only run in the operator’s own servers and in servers of handpicked testers.

These terms apply the same way to Dev. It should be expected to be less stable than the main bot: features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be removed entirely before or without ever reaching the main bot.

Dev is not available for you to add to your own server.

03Acceptable use

You agree not to use Lunaris to violate Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, to harass or harm others, to evade Discord moderation, or to attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorized access to the service or its API.

You are responsible for how the bot is configured and used within servers you manage, including moderation actions, verification blacklist entries (kicks/bans), and backup restores taken through it.

Moderation, logging, case evidence, tickets and similar features may only be used to keep your community safe and running. Do not use them to watch, profile or pursue people, to collect messages for other purposes, or to share what they hold outside your staff. For what your server does with its members’ data, you are the party who decides and answers for it, and our privacy policy describes how we handle it for you.

04Who can use Lunaris

You must be old enough to use Discord under its own terms (at least 13, higher where your local law requires) to use Lunaris. If you are under 18, use the dashboard with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. We may remove access if we learn that someone below the minimum age is using the service.

05Content you upload or post

Server staff can upload images (such as banners) and create content that Lunaris stores or displays, for example ticket and appeal transcripts, welcome cards and embeds. You keep your rights in it. You give us only the permission needed to store, show and deliver it as part of the service you asked for, and that permission ends when the content is deleted.

You may only upload or publish content you have the right to use, and nothing that is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights or is harmful to others.

To report content you believe is illegal or infringes your rights, email terms@lnrs.dev with: an explanation of why you consider it illegal, the exact address (URL) or the server and message where it appears, your name and email address (not needed for reports of child sexual abuse material), and a statement that you believe in good faith that the report is accurate and complete.

We confirm receipt of a report without undue delay when it contains an email address, review it, and decide in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective way. We tell the person who reported it what we decided and how they can challenge it.

If we remove or block content, or suspend or end access, we tell the person affected, at the latest when it happens and where we have their contact details, what the restriction is and for how long, the facts behind it, whether it followed a report, the legal ground or the term of these terms it breaks and why, and that no automated tool decided it. Checks on file type and size when uploading are automatic, but every decision to remove content or restrict access is made by a person. They can answer that message to have the decision looked at again by us, they can go to a certified out-of-court dispute body, and they keep the right to go to court.

These are the restrictions on content: it must be lawful, must not infringe rights of others and must follow the acceptable use section above. We apply them with care, in proportion and with regard to freedom of expression.

We remove content that is clearly unlawful once we know of it. Accounts and servers that repeatedly upload infringing or unlawful content are suspended or blacklisted (see the section on termination).

06Verification

Servers may enable a verification module that requires new members to authorize through Discord OAuth before gaining access. Server owners and admins configure who is blocked (specific users or members of blacklisted servers) and whether a match results in a kick or a ban. You are responsible for the blacklist entries you configure; we do not curate or endorse them.

07Backups and restores

Premium servers may create manual or automatic backups of their channels, roles, permissions and recent message history. Restoring a backup deletes the server’s current channels and roles and replaces them with the snapshot: this is destructive and cannot be undone. You are solely responsible for confirming a restore is what you intend before running it.

08Availability

Lunaris is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We aim for high uptime and publish live status at lnrs.dev/status, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

09Premium features

Some features (including server backups) are marked premium. Premium is not for sale and cannot be bought. It is granted to servers as a thank-you for boosting our Discord server, and may also be granted at our discretion. No money is charged, collected or accepted by us at any point.

Because nothing is purchased, premium carries no guarantee of continued availability: a granted benefit may end when the boost that earned it ends, and we may change which features are premium or how they are granted. Free features remain available regardless.

10Intellectual property

The Lunaris name, wordmark, logo and the source code, design and content of the bot and dashboard are ours and are protected by German copyright law. Using the bot in your server does not transfer any ownership or license beyond what is needed to use the service as intended.

You may not copy, redistribute, sublicense, reverse-engineer for competitive purposes, or use the Lunaris name or branding to imply that a bot, server or service of yours is published, endorsed or operated by us, when it is not.

If you believe material we publish or host infringes your copyright, report it as described under Content you upload or post.

11Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lunaris and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for data loss, including channels, roles or messages lost through a backup restore, a moderation action, or any other action you or your server’s staff initiate: arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. In particular, liability for injury to life, body or health, liability for intent and gross negligence, and liability under the German Product Liability Act remain unaffected. Where we breach a material contractual obligation through slight negligence, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of an agreement of this kind.

12Indemnification

If a third party makes a claim against us because of content you uploaded or an action you took in breach of these terms, you will cover our reasonable costs, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent you are at fault for it. This does not apply to claims arising from our own intent or gross negligence, and nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

13Termination and blacklisting

You may stop using Lunaris at any time by removing it from your servers.

We may suspend, restrict, or permanently blacklist a specific user, server, or both, where we determine that these terms have been breached, the service is being abused, or other users or servers are being endangered. A blacklist entry can be based on conduct that took place outside the affected server, since its purpose is to keep the same abuse from following someone into a different one.

Where practical we will explain why action was taken if asked, at terms@lnrs.dev, but we are not obliged to give advance notice before suspending or blacklisting access: doing so could itself let ongoing abuse continue in the meantime.

14Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

15Severability

If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.

16Changes

We may revise these terms as the service evolves, for example when features are added or removed or the law changes. We announce material changes in the support server at least 14 days before they apply, and the updated date above shows the revision. If you do not agree to a change, you can stop using Lunaris and remove it from your servers before it applies. A change that would significantly reduce what you can do with the bot only applies with your agreement.

17Contact
